Movicon Help on Line - Rel. 11.7.1301
Each Data Logger object has been designed to manage the required number of columns needed. When an ODBC link is used, the maximum number of columns that can be managed will depend on the type of database format and ODBC links used.
Each database column must be associated to a project variable through the Column's General properties.
To change the DataLogger column's General properties, select the object and use the Movicon 'Properties Window' that opens.
To get more information on the General Column Properties which are common to both Recipe and Data Logger objects, please refer to the document on "Common General Data Logger and Recipe Column Properties" paragraph.
This property is used to select which variable value must be recorded in the database. The choices are:
Instantaneous: the variable's instantaneous value will be recorded. This is the value contained in the variable at the moment of recording.
Minimum: the variable's minimum value that is obtained within the interval time, which that elapses between one recording and the next, will be recorded.
Maximum: the variable's maximum value that is obtained within the interval time, which elapses between one recording and the next, will be recorded.
Average: the variable's average value that is obtained within the interval time, which elapses between one recording and the next, will be recorded.
When wishing to record "minimum", "maximum" and "average" values, you will need to take into account that the statistics are reset at each recording. Therefore, the initial values of these variables will not be included in the statistic calculations between one recording and the next.
When enabled, this property allows you to add a Quality column to the Database table. This column will report Quality Status of the variable when recorded.
This property allows you to customize the name for the Quality column when the "Add Quality" property is enabled. If no name is entered here, the one for default will be used instead (ColumnName_Quality).
When enabled, this property allows you to add a column to the Database table which will report the time and date of the variable's last variation.
This property allows you to customize the name of the Timestamp Column when the "Add Timestamp" property is enabled. If no name is entered here, the one for default will be used instead (ColumnName_Timestamp).
When enabled, this property allows you to add a column to the Database table which will report the number of the variable's variations within the interval time which elapses between one recording and the next.
This property allows you to customize the name for the Num.Updates Column when the "Add Num.Updates Column" property is enabled. If no name is entered here, the one for default will be used instead (ColumnName_NumUpdates).
