Using the Alarm Dispatcher in WinCE

The Alarm Dispatcher for sending Alarm Notifications can also be used on Windows CE systems considering that, unlike what happens on the Desktop, the project settings file is called "AlarmDispatcher.dspt" and must be contained in the MoviconCE installation folder.

Furthermore, it must be considered that the Plugins available for the WinCE platform are the "GSM Modem SMS" and the "SMTP" defined respectively by the configuration files "GsmSMS.cfg" and "SMTP.cfg".

The operations to be carried out for the correct setting of the Dispatcher on WinCE are the following:

1. Open the Dispather on the Desktop PC and set the desired Plugin

2. Run the Plugin Test to verify that it works properly.

3. From the "Upload Project to Device" tool available from the development environment, upload the project. Since there are Alarm resources where the Notification has been enabled, the Tool asks for confirmation to load the configuration of the Alarm Dispatcher files on the remote device:

If you answer yes, the "AlarmDispatcher.dspt" files and related Plugin "GsmSMS.cfg" and / or "SMTP.cfg" (depending on those configured in the Dispatcher tool) are created in the Project folder and then transferred to the destination of the Project on the Remote Panel from the Upload tool.

4. At this point it is necessary, directly from the WinCE Panel, to manually copy the Dispatcher and Plugin configuration files from the Project destination folder (eg. "\ FlashDrv \ ProjectFolder \") to the Movicon CE Installation folder (eg . "\ FlashDrv \ MovCE \").
