Inserting Missing Strings

Movicon offers a "Check Missing Strings" command that can be used to find all the strings that have been used in the different project resources and which are missing, such as IDs in the String Table for instance. This command is provided for all the project resources. When it is executed, it will automatically open the string editor and add the missing strings. However, it will only add the String IDs leaving the programmer to insert the texts for the different set languages as normaly done. This will allow string IDs that have not yet been defined to be added to the properties of objects and resources and will automatically added to the string table when this command is used.

This command is available as an item on the 'Edit' and 'View' menus, and can be found as an icon on the tool bar.

This command only has effect in those resources that are currently selected in the Project Explorer window or screen (and the objects it contains) currently opened in the workspace. This command supports multi-selections. Therefore, one or more resources of different types, such as alarms and screens, can be selected at the same time before executing this command. If the project name is selected in the Project Explorer window before executing this command, the strings will be searched for in all the project resources that support this command.
