Movicon allows you to customize the system menu and toolbar configurations in accordance with your personal user styles.
To do this, right click within the workspace to open the 'Tools' menu then click the 'Customize' command to open the system settings window.
Each different settings card can be accessed through this window by clicking its corresponding Tab to activate it.
Commands
You can view the complete list of menu commands, which are available in development mode and at runtime, on the Commands Card.
These commands or the order with which they are displayed in cannot be changed.
The Toolbars
You can view the complete list of Movicon Toolbars on the Toolbar card. These Toolbars can be enabled or displayed by using the corresponding selection button at the side.
The default positions of all the Toolbars can be reset using 'Reset All' command.
You are allowed to add New toolbars but you are not allowed to add commands.
The Tools card can be used to customize the commands which are available from the Tools command menu containing the utility applications that can be launched. The commands from theTools menu can be customized by adding new items or by changing those that already exist. Each menu item has a command line ('Commands') with the relative arguments which will be executed when the command is activated from the menu.
Items can be deleted or added to the Tools' Menu contents by using the toolbar at the top. The list of applications existing on the menu are initially loaded from the "Tool.xml" configuration file (see paragraph on "Tools Menu Configuration").
Keyboard
From the Keyboard card you can view the complete list of keyboard commands of the Movicon Toolbars.
The default settings can be restored by using the Reset All command.
The keyboard commands can be removed but not added to.
Menu
The Menu card is used to customize the displaying of the system menus. The Project Menu selection will not be active at this time.
The 'Application Frame Menus' command allows you to define the animation type you wish to used for each menu when opened.
The 'Menu shadows' option box allows you to enable or disable the menu's shadow when opened.
The Options card is used to customize further use of the menus in Movicon. You can set the style you wish the menus to be displayed with by checking the option boxes.
The 'Large Icons' box allows you to enlarge the sizes of the icons on the Toolbars.
The 'Visualizations' box alows you to enable the tooltips when the mouse hovers over the icons of the toolbars.
The 'Menus show recently used commands first' command allows you to set how to manage the menu commands being used. You can choose whether to display only those used the most or those recently used.
