Movicon Help on Line - Rel. 11.7.1302
Movicon integrates powerful and automatic functions to support the Hot Backup of critical workstations that are redundantly connected in network. Slave intervention, re-entry, data synchronization are managed in completely in automatic.
Some critical processes that are under supervision and control require the intervention of a Secondary Server when the PC where the Primary Server resides crashes.
This intervention ensures that the critical process under supervision and control continues to function whenever the Master supervision station should unexpectedly become unavailable or crashes.
|
The mission of the redundancy management within a supervision and control system is to ensure continuous uninterrupted control and supervision of the plant and to prevent data from being lost. |
|
The redundancy functions are enabled at runtime only when the Redundancy and Networking option in each hardware key of each PC station (Primary or Secondary) have been enabled. |

An example of a redundancy architecture for supervision stations. The Secondary Server automatically enters into action when the Primary PC crashes.
