Movicon Help on Line - Rel. 11.7.1301
The "Distribute space between Objects..." function, from the Edit Menu, is one of the most important tools you can use for editing objects. This function is used to align screen objects within the screen so that they are spaced out equally. In this way, the objects are distributed automatically in subdivisions and organized in rows and columns equally with the possibility to preview the result.
The ' Distribute Object Space' automatically aligns the symbols in rows and columns
To use this function, you will first need to select the group of objects you wish to align by using the usual standard techniques. After having done this, you can then access the "Distribute space between Objects..." command from the Edit Menu. A window will display through which you can set the following parameters:
Column Number: sets the number of columns in which the group of symbols are to be subdivided
Column Gap: sets the number of space pixels between the symbols and the set columns
Row Gap: sets the number of space pixels between the symbols for the set rows
You can get a preview of how these settings will look by using the Apply button.
