Movicon Help on Line - Rel. 11.7.1301
The Execution properties of a Data Logger allow you to define the variables with which commands will be executed in the Data Logger. These includes the one used to enable the Datalogger for instance.
To change the Execution properties of a Data Logger, select the object with the mouse and use the Movicon 'Property Window' that appears.
To see which Execution properties are common to both Recipes and Data Loggers, please refer to the document on: "Data Loggers and Recipes common Execution Properties" .
This is used to select a variable from the Movicon Real Time DB to use to execute the Data Logger's recording on command. This selection can only be done when the "Record on Command" property has been enabled. You can declare the variable as any type (bit, byte, word, etc.) because Movicon will execute the recording when the variable obtains a value that is different from zero. Once the recording has finished, Movicon will force the recording variable's value back to zero.
The "Enable Recording Variable" field allows you to associate a Movicon Real Time DB variable which will determine the recording of data on time frequency (Record On Time Frequency).
This is handy to use in situations where you may have to stop recording values for various reasons, one may be because such recording would be meaningless, or not needed in specific phases of the process. Therefore, in cases such as theese, you can enter a variable that when set with a "different from zero" logic state will consent the recording of data associated to the Data Logger. Note that this variable only functions for data that is recorded on time frequencies (Record On Time Frequency) and not for data recorded on change (Record On Change) or on command (Record On Command).
The recording of data can also be executed within a timeframe by enabling the Data Logger's "Enable Day Timeframe" property. When leaving this selection field empty by default, the recording will always be enabled except when any timeframes have been disabled. |
