Movicon Help on Line - Rel. 11.7.1301
Movicon offers a very handy tool that helps you configure multiple and repetitive Event objects of the same command typology but are connected to a series of different variables in the project.
A practical example would be: a project needs to manage 50 different variables that activate the same change page command, or any other command, upon the event of a value change. The RealTime Database has of course declared the 50 variables exchanged with the field relating to the process information. These variables must generate the same type of event that has been set in an event object.
In a scenario such as this one, it would be a great help to have a tool that quickens the process of assigning Tags to the Event object. One which lets you configure just the one event object only once and then assign it to the 50 variables, as needed in our example, all in one go.
A tool such as this is offered by Movicon and is called the "Event Template".
In order to use this tool, you will need to set the Event as a "Template" type in the Event Object Resource together with the activation modes and command types desired. Once you have done this, you can then select the variables you need from the Variables List of the RealTime Database, then right-click and select the "Associate an Event" command to open another window from which to select the event desired. The variables, such as those in our example of 50 process variables, will then be associated to the Event Template. Technically, you should now have a project with 50 different variables associated to the same Event by Movicon upon receiving one click.
The request to associate an Event will open a another window containing a list of Events, which need to be inserted beforehand.
CAUTION: Do not enter reference variables in the properties of the events to be associated but only the activation condition and a command list. |
