+ Can Pro.Energy integrate with existing HMI and SCADA systems?

Yes, Pro.Energy can connect to HMI and SCADA systems already installed on production lines.

+ What communication protocol does Pro.Energy use to connect to IIoT equipment?

Pro.Energy uses OPC UA client and server to connect to remote telemetry devices in IIoT equipment.

+ What does Pro.Energy offer in terms of database functionality?

Pro.Energy collects energy data from meters and stores it in a SQL server database. It utilizes powerful analytics tools to record and calculate energy consumption data and cost. The database is automatically deployed during setup, and data logger objects are automatically created by the configuration wizard.

+ How are data displayed in Pro.Energy dashboards?

Collected data are displayed in real-time on intuitive dashboards featuring interactive graphics for easy visualization of energy consumption trends. These dashboards can be connected to a local HMI or accessed from any local or remote web-based device supporting HTML5. Graphical layouts are fully customizable to meet specific needs, supporting the addition of multiple supervisory screens and factory layouts.

+ How does Pro.Energy handle automated analysis reporting?

Pro.Energy helps eliminate peak-hour energy use overages and excessive consumption by automatically correlating energy usage with specific equipment. It tracks, trends, and reports information from energy sensors to generate insights through reports created quickly and easily using built-in wizards. These reports provide sophisticated analytics to help identify areas of waste and opportunities for improved efficiency and sustainability. Reports can be customized based on time period or measurement and can include tables and detailed charts. Pro.Energy supports report visualization via web browser, export to various formats, or delivery via email.

+ What expansion capabilities does Pro.Energy offer?

Pro.Energy provides an open architecture for client and web client network expansion, enabling scalability and flexibility in system deployment.

+ Is Grafana integrated as a user interface layer on top of the Movicon Pro Energy database?

Yes, Grafana retrieve data from the ProEnergy database.

+ What customization options are available with Grafana in Pro.Energy?

Users can enhance the base dashboard by adding graphs. However, this task requires a basic understanding of both Grafana and the ProEnergy database structure. Please refer to the User Manual for additional details.

+ Is the Movicon Pro.Energy package come with preconfigured Grafana views?

Yes, standard Grafana dashboards are provided in the Pro.Energy folder as file formats. Please refer to the User Manual to understand how to import them into an existing Grafana installation.

+ How are database access and integration of newly installed meters managed? What about reporting?

Meters need to be added and configured using the Pr.oEnergy wizard. Once completed, both cost and consumption data will be accessible in the Grafana dashboard. Reporting is handled through the internal Movicon report tool, utilizing the reports already available in the base product. It's important to note that these reports are independent of the Grafana dashboard.

+ What type of license does the Pro.Energy module require?

The Pro.Energy module requires an HMI/SCADA Movicon.NExT runtime license with the appropriate size for the required number of Energy points (meters).

+ How are Energy points represented in the Pro.Energy module?

Each Energy point, equivalent to a meter, is generally represented as a Tag in Floating Point format.

+ Are Microsoft SQL Server licenses included with the Pro.Energy module?

No, Microsoft SQL Server licenses are not included. An SQL Server Express can be used (does not require licenses).
