Command Settings

The commands in Movicon.NExT Objects and Symbols, and the association of Tags that determine the execution of a command upon clicking on the object can be set using the "Command Explorer".

 

The name of the reference Tag for each command inserted in the object can be specified in the "Tag" property.

In cases where the Tag has not been specified for each individual command, the object will used the referent Tag of the one associated to the object (see paragraph: "Assigning Tags to Objects").

 

Configuring commands

To configure a command of an object proceed as follows:

 

 

  1. Open a screen and select the desired graphical object.

  2. Call the "Command Explorer" window.

  3. In the left part of the window you will find a list of commands that can be inserted.  Click on the name of the command you wish to insert for the object.

  4. The command will then be added to the list ready for configuring.

  5. After having added the desired command, you can now proceed with configuring it by means of its properties.

More than one command can be added to each individual object.

 

 

Configuring commands in several objects

When multi-selecting a number of objects, you will be able to insert the desired commands in each one.

  1. The same number of tabs as there are selected objects (each with the object's name) will show in the "Command Explorer" window.  When selecting one to the tabs, the corresponding object's Command List will activate allowing you to edit it.

  2. You can copy commands from one object to another by using the Copy, Copy All and Paste buttons.
