The Alarm Server Module allows you to define and manage alarms by first setting their general properties (Type, Thresholds, etc.) in the I/O Data Server 'Alarms' card to then assign them to Tags. In order to get a clear picture of the Alarm concept in Movicon.NExT, look at this diagram:
As you can see from this diagram, the Alarm structure provided that possibility to sub-divide alarms in diverse Areas, that can be defined diverse Sources, each one of which can have their own Alarm Definitions.
The alarms defined in the Alarm resource can then be associated to several variables which results very handy in alarm repetitions for example.
the Alarm management in Movicon.NExT projects conforms to the OPC UA specifications (standard IEC62541) for Alarm & Conditions typology.
